Kepes András az első volt, aki a Magyar Televízió képernyőjén, a nyolcvanas években sztárinterjúkat készített Cannes-ban, Berlinben, Tokióban és Hollywoodban, New Yorkban, Latin-Amerikában és a Nobel-díj átadásokon. Pénz és összeköttetések híján akkoriban ez még sok furfangot követelt.
