The performance will be bookended by excerpts from the Symphonic Dances from Bernstein’s West Side Story and the ballet suites from Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet, with Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue in between, for which the Japanese Makoto Ozone, a jazz pianist of international prestige, will be gracing the keyboard.
