This year the children on stage will create Christmas atmosphere primarily through the wonderful motets of German Romanticism. Through staging Mendelssohn’s popular psalms for children’s choir,Rheinberger’s Motets for Adventand the very rarely performed cantata by Reger ‘Vom Himmel hoch’, the performers will also take full advantage of the wonderful organ at Liszt Academy, which was built during the period when these musical works were composed. Of course, we will also be able to enjoy Palánták Choir’s nativity play and will likewise get a taste of traditional Hungarian children’s choir music literature for the Christmas period.
