Kepes András az első volt, aki a Magyar Televízió képernyőjén, a nyolcvanas években sztárinterjúkat készített Cannes-ban, Berlinben, Tokióban és Hollywoodban, New Yorkban, Latin-Amerikában és a Nobel-díj átadásokon. Pénz és összeköttetések híján akkoriban ez még sok furfangot követelt.
Mikrofonja előtt megszólaltak világhírű színészek, a filmtörténet jelentős rendezői, filmesei valamint Nobel-díjas írók - Woody Allen, Gina Lollobrigida, Donald Sutherland, Jean Marais, Denis Hopper, Fernando Rey, Alexander Trauner, Elia Kazan, Federico Fellini, Martin Scorsese, Billy Wilder, Lindsey Anderson, Bernardo Bertolucci, García Márquez, ALejo Carpentier, Julio Cortázar, Mario Vargas Llosa és mások –, de eljutott a Dalai láma udvarába és Amazónia őserdejébe is.
