Silver Bear-winning filmmaker Dénes Nagy spent four years following György Kurtág’s everyday life with his camera. The resulting documentary, produced between 2021 and 2025, far exceeds the conventional boundaries of the genre.

It is an important objective of the Hungarian National Philharmonic’s Opera season ticket to interpret not only popular hits of the genre, but also to present the audience with a rare and valuable work worth discovering from time to time.

The guest appearance of the world-famous American maestro Lawrence Foster, who represents the senior age group of the international community of composers, promises to be among the outstanding events of the season. The musician with Romanian parents has conducted the Hungarian National Philharmonic on several occasions and each visit has attracted an enthusiastic response.

Negyedik koncertünkkel egy izgalmas együttműködést kezdünk meg Notis Georgiou-val, aki karmester, gitárművész, zeneszerző, volt nagybőgő szólamvezető, magyar, francia, angol, olasz, valamint ó- és újgörög műfordító is egyben.

Ötödik koncertünkön együttesünk művészeti vezetője, Kováts Péter vezényel, különleges zenekari műveket szólaltatnak meg együtt.

Az évadzáró koncerten Érdi Tamás ül a Hangvilla Steinway zongorájához, hogy az egyik legcsodálatosabb Mozart zongoraversenyt szólaltassa meg velünk.

Two vastly different yet mutually enriching musical universes meet on the Müpa stage this evening: Söndörgő, one of Hungary’s most exciting representatives of Balkan and South Slavic musical traditions, and the world-renowned Balanescu Quartet, which masterfully combines contemporary classical music with boundary-defying creative improvisation.
